UNICEF Warns Against Use Of Herbs For Menstrual Pain

UNICEF Warns Against Use Of Herbs For Menstrual Pain

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) on Wednesday stressed the need for adolescent girls to avoid the use of herbs during menstrual pain. Prof. Nkadi Onyegbegbu, the National Coordinator of UNICEF Wash in Schools for Girls Project (Wins 4 Girls) in Nigeria, said this at a 4-day Menstrual Hygiene Management Workshop organised for adolescent public school girls in Iragbiji, Osun.

Onyegbegbu said many adolescent girls in the country are becoming victims of kidney problem due to intake of herbs during menstrual pain. She also warned against intake of pain relief during the pain, saying many of the pain reliefs are not potent. She said that having intercourse as a palliative measure will not also stop the menstrual pain.

Onyegbegbu said many adolescent girls have contacted HIV and other sexually transmitted infections in the process. She advised girls to take fruits, vegetables, plenty water, engage in exercise and also visit a hospital if need be during menstrual pain. Onyegbegbu said menstrual hygiene management involves articulation, awareness, information, confidence, safety and dignity using safe hygienic materials.

The UNICEF coordinator called on traditional rulers, governments, parents as well as schools to help the adolescent girls by addressing harmful traditions, customs and beliefs to improve healthy and hygienic practices during menstruation. She warned girls against the use of tissue paper, perfume or powder during menstruation.

Liberia’s Mystery Disease Possibly A Meningitis Outbreak – Minister

Liberia’s Mystery Disease Possibly A Meningitis Outbreak – Minister

Liberia’s health minister disclosed on Monday (May 8, 2017) that the deadly mystery illness that has so far claimed some thirteen lives in the West African country could be linked with meningitis after medical samples from four victims tested positive for a type of the disease.

According to Dr. Bernice Dahn, seven specimens from the deceased tested positive for Neisseria meningitis, a particularly contagious type of bacteria.

“Based on these initial results from the CDC Atlanta (U.S. Center for Disease Control), we believe that we are dealing with a probable outbreak of meningitis in Sinoe, which spread to Montserrado and Grand Bassa counties,” she added, she also reiterated calls for calm over the situation.

The authorities are, however, investigating options for mass vaccinations against the illness, characterized by swelling of the membranes in the brain and spinal cord. Further laboratory analysis is under way.

Meningitis is an infections disease characterized by inflammation of the meninges (the tissues that surround the brain and spinal cord). It is usually caused by a bacterial infection, symptoms include headache, stiff neck, fever and nausea.

So far a total of 31 cases of the supposed mystery illness has been reported, including 13 deaths in an outbreak linked to the attendance of a religious leader’s funeral. Liberia’s chief medical officer, Dr. Francis Kateh, confirmed to the BBC two weeks ago that the deaths were not Ebola-related from initial test results.

THE MANY BENEFITS OF SUCKING YOUR WIFE’S BREASTS

THE MANY BENEFITS OF SUCKING YOUR WIFE’S BREASTS

The female breasts have remained the most conspicuous and attractive feature of the female sexual organs. Besides the age long biological function of the breast as a source of food and nourishment for babies, the breast is also a major source of sexual attraction for the male specie, just as it is also a key sexual organ for the woman, highly sensitive to stimulation.

As a sexual organ, the breast have been known to give immense pleasure to both men and women during sexual encounters. In fact some women have reportedly disclosed that they are capable of achieving orgasm even when thoroughly stimulated through sucking and caressing of the breast alone.

But apart from serving the function of mother infant bonding, and sexual bonding between couples, vigorous sucking of the breasts of a woman by her husband has been proven to be a way of preventing breast cancer.

Some years back a BBC report suggested that men and women should have their breasts sucked thoroughly to help them stay away from breast cancer. The report published by BBC indicates that sucking has the tendency to reduce the incidence of breast cancer.

There are also studies that advise men to fiddle with their wives breasts and suck them too, as this will help detect if the wife has a lump, and if there is an abnormal growth in the breasts, none of which has been proven scientifically.

However, what has been scientifically proven is the fact that breast sucking when properly performed is of immense pleasure to the woman and may sometime on its own lead to orgasm or when combined with some other forms of sexual stimulation will help a woman to achieve orgasm quicker. Again, no research has shown that breast sucking can give a woman cancer either.

Now you know that touching and sucking your wife’s breast gives pleasure, go ahead and enjoy what nature has bestowed on you and please share this story for others to read!

British scientists in world-first TB breakthrough

British scientists in world-first TB breakthrough

British scientists have made a world-first breakthrough in the diagnosis of tuberculosis.

Researchers in Oxford and Birmingham say they can isolate different strains of the disease using a process called genome sequencing.

It means patients who may have waited months to get the right drugs can now be diagnosed in just a few days – so they have a greater chance of recovery.

Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt said the breakthrough “will save lives”.

Cases of TB in the UK have begun falling recently, but England still has one of the highest rates in Europe.

The scientists who made the discovery say genome sequencing allows them to identify the DNA of different samples in little more than a week.

WARNING – GRAPHIC IMAGES: Scans revealed it has swelled to a whopping 5st 3lbs in just under a year – putting the 24-year-old unnamed woman from Mexico at risk of heart failure

A woman with what’s believed to be the world’s largest cyst has had the FIVE stone tumour removed in a successful attempt to save her life.

Scans revealed it has swelled to a whopping 5st 3lbs in just under a year – putting the 24-year-old unnamed woman at risk of heart failure.

The growth weighed the same as ten new born babies – or roughly equal to the weight of a ten year old child.

Details of the operation have just been made public after the patient made a full recovery and has returned to her everyday life.

The woman, from Mexico – who did not want to be named – was at first mystified as why her abdomen continued to grow as she was dieting and soon put on 61bs (4.3st) according to mirror.co.uk

The pressure from the cyst meant she developed problems walking, breathing and eating due to the compression on her organs.

The patient was referred to Mexico General Hospital as a last resort due to the concerning size of the ovarian cyst and complicated surgery needed to remove it.

By this point the giant cyst weighed over 5st 3 (73lbs) and was growing at a rate of nearly 6lbs each month.

The patient chose to take out the ovarian cyst completely rather than draining it first, despite knowing she would be left with a lengthy scar.
